New DRE Course Delivery Guidelines (Commissioner's Regulations 3006)

As of January 1, 2011, DRE regulations require us to control the student's navigation through the course content to ensure the completion time is appropriate for the number of clock hours for which the course is approved. Incremental assessments (chapter quizzes) are now required to measure a participant's mastery of the course content after each logical unit of instruction or reading.

This means you must advance through the course in a linear fashion, starting with the first chapter, and you cannot advance to the next chapter until the previous chapter's reading assignment and Chapter Quiz has been completed. As a result, you cannot access the course final examination until all reading assignments and Chapter quizzes have been completed. When you complete the last chapter quiz you receive a link to the Final Examination.

NOTE: This applies to ALL enrollments, with or without physical books, so even if you have books, you must log in and complete the chapter quizzes before you can access the final examination.

Minimum Time of Completion
You must first wait 24 hours before accessing ANY final exam. After that, Commissioner’s Regulation Section 3007.3 now states that students are limited to completion of a maximum of 15 credit hours during any one 24 hour period. The maximum time allowed for completion of your courses is one year from the date of enrollment. Completion of the course means taking and passing final examination for each course.
