Starting on October 1, 2007 there is no longer an 18-month conditional license. After
October 1st, an applicant for the real estate salesperson examination must show proof of
three courses prior to the state exam. Real Estate Principles, Real Estate Practice, and
one other Salesperson course from our list of courses offered.
If you pass the state exam and submit your license paperwork prior to October 1, 2007,
and if you submitted your license application with only Real Estate Principles, you have an 18-
month conditional license. You will now need to complete two additional courses within 18
months of the date your license was issued or your license will be suspended. Your license will then last four years instead of 18 months.
These courses will also qualify for your Brokers License should you decide to continue on in the future.
One of the required courses is California Real Estate Practice.
The other course can be your choice of any of the following:
- Fundamentals of Real Estate Appraisal
- California Real Estate Finance
- Legal Aspects of Real Estate
- Property Management
- Economics
- Real Estate Office Administration
The cost for each course is $69 + S/H. If two courses are purchased together the cost is $124 + SH.
